If you imagine driving a truck on an old dirt road with deep ruts that you don’t even have to steer as you are driving. This is how your spine is right now. It has some old ruts and muscle patterns that we need to change. So, what we need to do is get that truck out of the old ruts and establish new ruts. This takes a little time and repetition to accomplish, and just to show how amazing the human body is, you can have an old rut for decades, however in just a short amount of time, typically about a month or so, you can make some big changes in the body and create and establish a new rut. Over time, since the body will undergo the same everyday stressors that created the old rut to begin with, your body will require periodic adjustments to maintain the new rut that we accomplished.
